As our health officials are able to increase the numbers of people getting COVID vaccines and we see how this pandemic will evolve in coming days, weeks, and months, your Guild will be restarting many of the activities that were stopped in 2020. Keep an eye on our blog posts and this page for updates on our activities.
We restarted our monthly Challenge! program in January 2021. Click on this link to view the details including the monthly themes, virtual meeting (by Zoom) dates, and dates when paintings are due to our CVWG Webmaster.
Our monthly Challenge! is open to members and all friends/followers of CVWG. Email an image of your painting to our CVWG Webmaster and request to be included in our Zoom call.
As of September 2021, the Challenge! will resume at our monthly in-person meetings.
Our Exhibit at The Center ended July 30, 2021. Keep an eye out for another exhibit in 2022.
Albemarle County Courthouse Exhibit
CVWG Courthouse Exhibition Committee will be changing our exhibition paintings on Monday, November 15th between 10am-11am. Current participating artists will be contacted for removal of their paintings.
The Committee has a Call for Artists for the next period in our ongoing exhibition. All members are encouraged to bring one painting for display. Please remember to keep within the requirements for displaying your art.
- NO GLASS, plexiglass only;
- Picture properly framed for hanging by wire and eyelets (eg no sawtooth hangers); and
- 2 name labels, below, one on the front and one on the back of the painting.
A decision was made to utilize only the main floor for our exhibits going forward due to lack of visibility and space usage on the lower level. There is also a MAJOR CHANGE in the drop off location. Concierge service will still be provided, on JEFFERSON STREET (main entrance to building).
This exhibit will be on display until July 18, 2022.
Contact Carolyn Ratcliffe for any special assistance.
CVWG Exhibit at Westminster Canterbury Facility
We will announce other exhibits, including the restart of our long-time shows at the Albemarle County Courthouse as we are able. Keep an eye on this page and our Latest News blog postings.
